TikTok LIVE notifications on Discord

TikTok does not post to Discord on its own. DogByte watches your profile and tells your server when you go LIVE or upload a new video.

What you need

Step by step

  1. Add DogByte to your server with the button on this page.
  2. Turn on LIVE alerts:
    /tiktok add username:yourname live_channel:#tiktok-live
  3. Add new videos (optional):
    /tiktok add username:yourname videos_channel:#tiktok-videos
  4. Ping a role: add ping_role:@TikTok so people with that role are notified when you go LIVE.
  5. See what the bot sees: /tiktok test username:yourname shows whether the profile is LIVE right now and the latest video. /tiktok show previews the graphics.

What the alert looks like

For a LIVE the bot posts a graphic with your profile, title, viewer count and start time, plus a watch button. For a new video it shows the caption and upload date. TikTok streams count in the summaries together with Twitch and Kick.

Common problems

The bot cannot find the profile

Type the name without @ or spaces. The profile has to be public.

The alert arrives a little late

TikTok has no live events for bots, so DogByte checks the profile every few minutes. A short delay is normal.

Turning off videos or LIVE

/tiktok clear username:yourname what: and pick new videos, LIVE alerts or role ping.
